Ilfracombe’s Tunnels Beach is a network of tunnels that lead to some secluded beaches. The hand-carved routes are tucked away, making them hard for outsiders–and even locals!–to find! One hundred years ago they weren’t as well hidden; many people would stumble upon it without realizing what was happening or where this new discovery led them. The entrance fee allows entry into these secret passages through rock cliffs at low tide only.:
