The village of Ravenglass lies on the coastal estuary where Mite, Irt and Esk Rivers converge before watering into Irish Sea. The beach here is composed of sand backed by small grassy area at one end while fishermen’s cottages run immediately alongside its length just like any other lovely English seaside town would do! This spot even has access to some well-signposted walks that will take you up into Wasdale or down towards Lake District National Park.:
