East Kent Railway

The East Kent Railway is a volunteer-led railway that operates solely on weekends to preserve the last surviving portion of the Kent Coalfields, which now depart from Shepherdswell and Eythorne (a 4-mile round trip). On particular occasion days, steam trains may also be found in operation. The Southern Electric Group & 400 Series Group runs the station, which preserves and repairs Southern Region electric engines.:
