The village of Kilrush lies on the Shannon Estuary, about 48 miles west of Limerick. From its large marina and pier used for berthing boats during winter time it is possible to take a trip down memory lane by visiting historic Cappagh Pier which dates back nearly 200 years ago! Next door at this small rocky beach are also found people who enjoy taking their dip in blue flag waters only found here between Ireland’s mainland coastlines- an area known as “The Wild Atlantic Way.”:
